How long have you been tutoring?
I have been tutoring professionally since 1987.
What are your qualifications?
I am permanently licensed in Massachusetts and reciprocal states in English, grades 7 - 12, and in Social Studies, grades 7 - 12.
Where have you taught?
I was employed by the Yorktown Central School District in Yorktown Heights, NY, for 11 years as homebound tutor. (They subsequently chose a comprehensive service in lieu of hiring individual tutors.) I have taught Hebrew and Jewish history and culture at the Yorktown Jewish Center since 1993.
Where do you tutor? Do you come to me or does my student come to you?
I tutor in my home in Yorktown Heights. I have all the materials I need to tutor each student effectively in my home office. If you can't come to me, I can arrange to tutor you over the telephone or via Skype (webcam).
When are you available for tutoring sessions?
I see students on Mondays through Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. till 10 p.m. (That's when students are available and awake.) I also see students Fridays from 1:30 till about 4, depending on the season.
How much do you charge?
Currently, I charge $120 per hour. I charge for partial hours for internet college essay help only (if you only need 30 minutes of help, I only charge for 30 minutes).
